Fall is here, and so is another glorious season in Borrego Springs and the Anza-Borrego Desert. With cooler temperatures and the return of our seasonal residents and visitors, it’s prime time in Borrego!

The season starts out with a bang, as Borrego Days 58 is Saturday, October 19 and Sunday, October 20, and our much-missed parade is returning after a long hiatus. Borrego Days will once again feature great live entertainment, food and craft vendors, a jumpin’ good kid’s zone, and a beverage garden in full view of the main stage.

The parade starts at 9 AM Saturday, so come out early to secure your place along the parade route. It runs down Palm Canyon Drive, from the intersection of Country Club Road, and proceeds east through the village core and around Christmas Circle.

Our beloved Certified Farmers Market returns for the season on Friday, November 1, 8 AM to 12 Noon. Dozens of vendors will be bringing their farm-fresh produce, wild line-caught fish, fresh-cut flowers and artisan foods and crafts.

Our family-owned and operated restaurants are all open for the season, ready to serve their hand-crafted and delicious meals for you. Many local restaurants offer live entertainment on a regular basis, including Carlee’s Place, Bighorn Saloon at Palm Canyon Resort, and Epicurious Social Club.

Borrego’s excellent offering of accommodations are ready to serve you with their well-known friendly hospitality, ranging from affordable comfort to the most luxurious. Seasonal bookings are picking up quickly now, so book early to reserve your place in this most unique and beautiful corner of the world.

I hope to meet as many residents and visitors as possible this season to greet you all with a warm, “Welcome home!”

Daniel Wright, Honorary Mayor
