A Wild Ride in March

The wildflowers are almost gone, the season is winding down and life is getting back to normal in Borrego Springs. I’m proud to say that the Chamber helped over 1,200 people in March, the majority being visitors. This number does not reflect the visitors and calls we forgot to mark down (it was crazy at times) nor does it include the hundreds of people Marie Perroud helped at the Chamber Farmers Market booth.

I can’t thank the volunteers enough for all of their help with everyone working double duty at one point or another. These heroes are Judy Lewis, Jim Lewis, George Thompson, Jenny Huntley, Rachel Rench, Jeni Peterson and Marie Perroud. Also “speedy recovery” wishes go out to Joy McBride, the one volunteer missing all of the action as she is recovering from a fall and doing well. We miss you Joy!

Now it’s time to welcome two more new Chamber members, Borrego Dental Group and Coastal Kasa. You’ll find their information along with all of our member’s info on the directory at the Chamber website. Visitborrego.com.

Also another Chamber Mixer is in the books, this one being at the Borrego Springs Resort & Spa. Over 55 attendees enjoyed delicious food, surprise drawings, fresh flowers (that many took home), and of course the awesome raffle table. Thanks so much to our raffle prize sponsors Anza Borrego Desert Natural History Association, Borrego Outfitter, Carlee’s, Coyote Steakhouse/Red Ocotillo, La Casa Del Zorro, Meta Skin Studio, the Chamber and of course everyone at the Borrego Springs Resort & Spa who helped to make the event a success!

To sign up for the free Chamber Weekly eblast sent every Wednesday and available for everyone, send an email to visitborrego@gmail.com with the word eblast in the subject line, we’ll do the rest.
