Bark of Success, Annual Dog Show

It was a tail-wagging good time at the Third Annual Roadrunner Club/Springs RV Park Dog Show on Feb. 22, held at the Dreamweaver Amphitheater.

The event was emceed by Susan Dent and judged by Diana Fox and Linda Bates with the assistance of Melanie Goldenberg.

Forty three dogs wagged, ran and showed off on the Red Carpet in 11 different classes. Each class was awarded three ribbons with all first place Blue Ribbon winners coming back at the end to compete for the Best of Show title and a giant gift bag provided by Kahoots in Ramona.

The generous town of merchants, artists and friends in Borrego and beyond donated over $5,000 in gift certificates, services and merchandise for the Lucky Dog Doodle raffle with all proceeds benefiting the non-profit dog rescue organization, amazingdogs.org.

Fred Jee provided the music and sound system. Jerry Cerros and his two boys fed the crowd with his delicious tacos and burritos from his Los Cerritos truck from Holtville.

Shout out to all the volunteers, dog parents, dogs and the audience who helped us to raise $2,850 for our Charity and to make the Dog Show such a success on a beautiful day in Borrego.
