Daffodil Days Begins at Julian Farm and Orchard

Julian Farm and Orchard announces its annual "Daffodil Days" festival is now underway. This popular U-pick offering is back for its third year and is the largest U-pick daffodils location in Southern California. Guests visiting the farm can pick their own flowers from Julian Farm and Orchard's sprawling flower fields.

The 25-acre family-friendly sustainable farm saw thousands of visitors last year and gave an up-close experience with a variety of daffodils. This year, Tahiti, Carlton, Love Day, and Dutch Master are some of the variations that will be in full bloom. The farm anticipates up to 150,000 blooms from March through April, offering guests a great opportunity to visit and cut their own daffodils.

Daffodil Days also sees the return of the farm's family-friendly activity offerings. Guests can visit the animal sanctuary and petting zoo, haybale maze, hayrides, the rock-climbing wall, axe throwing and more will be available for the whole crew. The gift shop features Julian Apple Cider and pies along with many unique and locally sourced items.


Admission at Julian Farm and Orchard is simple with the online booking system. Guests can speed up the check in process and buy their entry options right from JulianFarmAndOrchard.com. The farm offers general admission and unlimited activity wristbands. Frequent visitors can also purchase a season pass that gives unlimited access to all the farm's fun for the entire year.

The Revolutionary War reenactment, "Revolution in the Orchard," is set to coincide with Daffodil Days and will take place April 19 – 21. Guests visiting Julian Farm and Orchard can witness reenactments of the American War of Independence. This family friendly event features dozens of historical interpreters representing the soldiers and civilians of the American Revolution, demonstrating all aspects of daily and military life.


Educational presentations and lectures include cooking demonstrations, military drills, swordplay, axe throwing, blacksmithing, and many more aspects of 18th century life. Each day of the event featured two thrilling battle reenactments with muskets and cannons.

Julian Farm and Orchard also has fantastic options for school field trips and educational opportunities. The farm offers a comprehensive curriculum for students of all grade levels. The knowledgeable staff will guide you in planning your event which may include a hayride, Julian agricultural history lesson, U-pick activity, petting zoo, or a special customized day that meets your school's educational requirements. Julian Farm and Orchard offers a variety of sustainable agritourism programs throughout the year from daffodils in the spring, U-pick strawberries and raspberries into June, July and August, and our famous Pumpkin Patch in September and October. In November and December, guests enjoy our popular and sustainable artificial ice-skating rink – use our ice skates or bring your own.

Julian Farm and Orchard is located at 4381 Julian Hwy, approximately three miles west of historic Julian. Parking is free and the farm's hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seasonally.
