I’m happy to report that in the last three weeks the Chamber visitor count has doubled and the steady stream of phone calls are resuming. After a conversation with my Visit California contact, she explained that overall tourism has been down across California due to the wintery weather conditions. However, wildflowers are creating an immense amount of buzz for Borrego Springs and the surrounding desert regions. The one telephone question that makes us chuckle every single day is “Can you tell us exactly what day all of the flowers will bloom?”

I’m excited to announce the following businesses have joined the BSCC: Jeanette Huntley – CPA, Epicurious Social Club – a new dining experience and Frye Mechanical – heating and air conditioning. The BSCC Education Assistance Program is open for applications. Do you know of a Borrego Springs High School Student looking to further their education, if so, please have them apply for assistance by filling out and returning a completed application. Applications are available at the BSCC. Deadline to apply is April 1, 2024.
