By the time you read this the 57th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival will be only a week away and it’s all hands on deck at the Chamber. My amazing Chamber Volunteer Team, along with our fantastic local Volunteer Chairs and their teams are organizing, creating and preparing for the big event on October 21 & 22 at Christmas Circle Community Park.

You’ll find all things festival at borregodays.com, but here’s a quick preview. CAL Fire kicks off the Festival with a drive down Palm Canyon, at 9:35 a.m. on Saturday morning, followed by local Robin Young singing the National Anthem, then another exciting flyover (weather permitting.)

At 10 a.m., the Festival gets underway at Christmas Circle with a CAL Fire Introduction Ceremony, and then our live entertainment begins. Also on Saturday, a new Honorary Mayor will be announced, Chamber and Community awards will be given, the 2023 – 24 Visitors Guide will be launched and the car show winners will receive beautiful trophies.

New vendors along with your longtime favorites will fill the Circle. The adult beer garden, food court, kid’s zone and car show will be happening during this family friendly weekend of fun! Our live entertainment includes the popular Honky Tonk Nights (modern country & rock), local favorite Soul Frenzi and once again on Sunday Nacho Bustillos, whose popularity has grown so much since last year, we are lucky to have him!

DON’T FORGET, for all of you automobile hobbyists, get your ride ready for the Borrego Days Car Show. If it needs a license to drive it and it has wheels, then show it off! There’s no entry fee, and prizes are awarded for Fan Favorite and more! Oct 21, cars must be parked in the designated area at Christmas Circle by 9:30 a.m.

Borrego Days is a free event with free parking and truly kicks off the season in the wonderful community of Borrego Springs.
