Chamber Slides into August and Welcomes New Members

The title is lengthy but there’s so much to say.
First off I’m excited to welcome several new members to the Chamber. Joining us are Mike Holzer, and a new web developing business specializing in PHP and MySQL called Fotan, LLC. From small town clients to the U.S. Air Force, Fotan will help your business grow! Returning to the Chamber is Hacienda Del Sol. With a majority of the renovations complete, Hacienda Del Sol is ready for the new season. Welcome everyone!
As with past years, July and August is quiet on the visitor’s side, however, the big wheel that encompasses Borrego Days, the new visitors guide and a multitude of items on the to-do list keeps on turning. During August, the Chamber will be closed to walk-in traffic, however, I’ll be in and out, answering emails and voicemails, plus arranging meetings by appointment only. And…… just maybe, I’ll take a few days off.
There is still much work to be done for Borrego Days; sponsorships are going out, vendor applications are beginning to come in, the entertainment is booked featuring new sounds and local favorites, plus we are starting to compile our volunteer list. If you’d like to be a volunteer please call or email the Chamber and we’ll put your name on the list for our Volunteer Coordinator – Joy McBride. Joy will start contacting everyone on the list towards the end of August.
Vendor applications are available at the Chamber or on the festival website borregodays.com, where you’ll also find festival updates and information.
Stay cool in this crazy heat and remember to protect your pet’s paws and drink plenty of water.
