Berry Season Kicks Off at Julian Farm and Orchard

Julian Farm and Orchard is covered with berries as the Summer Berry Season ramps up! Memorial Day weekend marked the first few days of strawberry U-pick and guests were treated to the bountiful supply of fresh berries. Grown organically on Julian Farm and Orchard’s sustainable 25-acre property, the berries are a perfect snack for a warm summer day and a great way to get out with the family.
Admission to the farm is just $5 and includes entry, access to the animal sanctuary, tractor-pulled hayrides, hammock and picnic areas, yard games, and more! U-pick berry baskets are also available at the new low price of just $7. While strawberries are currently available, U-pick raspberries and blackberries will be in season very soon. The Gift Shop offers a wide variety of local and hand-crafted items including Julian Apple Pies and Julian Apple Cider.
Julian Farm and Orchard is also excited to announce the availability of educational programming. Plan now for Summer and Back to School Fall dates. The farm offers a comprehensive curriculum for students of all grade levels. Knowledgeable farm staff will guide you in planning your event which may include a hayride, Julian agricultural history lesson, U-pick activities, animal encounters, or a special customized day that meets your group’s educational requirements. Spots are filling up quick for the summer, as well as the upcoming school year.
Summer in the Julian area is traditionally a popular time of year. Guests at the farm are treated to warm, sunny days and plenty of sunshine. Julian Farm and Orchard is an easy escape for those seeking to bypass the “June Gloom” overcast typical for this time of year.
Julian Farm and Orchard is a sustainable farm and offers a variety of agritourism programs throughout the year from daffodils in the spring, Revolution in the Orchard in April, u-pick strawberries and raspberries into June, July and August, Apple Picking in September and our famous Pumpkin Patch in September and October. For November and December, we are planning something new: Holidays on the Farm.
Julian Farm and Orchard is located at 4381 Julian Hwy, approximately three miles west of historic Julian. Parking is free and the farm’s hours are Friday – Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seasonally.
