Chamber Mixers Are Back

Chamber Mixers are back starting with a Mardi Gras Mixer. However, with business and volunteer staffing shortages and the high price of food we are implementing a few guidelines for this season. Attendance is capped at 80, and all attendees must RSVP to attend. We need an accurate count for food, beverages and staffing, meaning that if you aren’t on the list and just show up…….sorry. The Mardi Gras Mixer is on February 23 at Arches Restaurant at the Borrego Springs Resort.
Time 4:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. (doors open at 4:15). RSVP deadline is February 20, 5 p.m. or when we hit the magical 80.

Did you see the Borrego Springs ad in the current issue of Westways? The Chamber is working hard to let travelers know about our beautiful area with this ad as well as a new spread in Food & Travel Magazine and (we’re excited to say) a half page ad in the Official San Diego Padres Program, Go Padres!
The experts are not sure about the upcoming bloom, but visitors are coming to the Chamber/Welcome Center in a steady flow. We’ve already exceeded the 2022 January visitor count having helped over 500 people either in person or on the phone, this doesn’t count website views.
I tip my hat to our fantastic team of volunteers Judy Lewis, George Thompson, Rachel Rench, Joy McBride, Jenny Huntley, Marie Perroud and Lynn Pierce! The beautiful comments visitors write in the log brings tears to my eyes, Borrego is fortunate to have these folks in the community.
