Rotary Club, Lucky Tongue Come Together for Some Fundraising!

“Service Above Self” is the motto of all Rotary Clubs around the world and there’s no better place to see this in action than in our own Borrego Springs Rotary Club. Our service to others includes our community and beyond to Mexico and Mongolia where our High School Interact (Rotary) Club is assisting with care packages for an orphanage and books for low income children.
Locally, the Borrego Springs Rotary Club supports a myriad of projects in need of funding such as the annual Holiday Gift Drive where every child in our village is able to receive a gift from Santa. Other Rotary projects include Little League, the Middle School’s Catalina Science Camp, BASIC’s Summer Academy, Scholarships for high school seniors, the Borrego Springs Community Concert Association, the Boys and Girls Club, BSUSD’s new school bus, Food Banks and the list continues.
This philanthropy is possible due to your generosity in supporting our annual fundraiser, the venerable Taste of Borrego. Due to COVID precautions, we are not able to host the event this year and in its place, we are offering a lively and fun evening in the Springs RV Resort Amphitheater, March 5, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The beloved, semi-local Lucky Tongue Band will delight us with their music while folks munch on hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants and wine compliments of Borrego Outfitters. As usual, some super items will be available in the silent auction and yes, there will be dancing as it’s almost impossible to sit still when Lucky Tongue plays!
