The 9th Annual Borrego Springs Film Festival returns to the theater for indoor viewing.
Film goers should pick up passes at noon Thursday March 24.
"We have been very aware of COVID issues and will adhere to Film Festival standards for entry: COVID Card must be shown either in person or by photo showing the person has received vaccinations. Indoor masking is optional," BSFF Chair Fred Jee said.
"We do not wish to make the process difficult. Safety of the guests and staff is paramount for the festival. We ask all our guests to be safety conscious. Wear a mask if you are uncomfortable not wearing one inside the theater. This will be the standard at our other venues for Festival Pass holders."
Last year, the BSFF managed to hold the Festival as a drive-in style setting, and despite being successful, was a budget killer.
Check out the website: borregospringsfilmfestival.org to see what is being shown and when and to purchase Festival passes or block tickets. Passes are $150 each and block tickets are $10 each.
As done before, guests will exit after each block showing to get the entry ticket for the next showing. This allows or volunteers to clean the theater of any debris. It is also to determine audience attendance by number of tickets picked up by guests. All parties are for Festival Pass holders only. Film makers, staff, volunteers, and patrons will have different colored passes so one can interact with each other accordingly. "We encourage folks to interact with each other during the festival."
The films that can be viewed for free (without a ticket of Festival pass) will be those films in Block M and N, shown on Monday March 28, beginning at 10 a.m. The awards session, taking place at the Borrego Springs Performing Arts Center, will follow after the films shown in Block N,
