February is finding itself to bring many spotlights on the Borrego Springs area which is an economic boost for everyone. However before I share some of the happenings I do need to make a correction (as yes I freely admit I do make mistakes) regarding a new President’s Club Member. The correct business name for this member is Watts New Under The Sun, a company offering over 40 years of experience installing Solar energy systems to homes and businesses.

Let’s also welcome new member Joseph Sanford Designer, a semi-retired Architect with over 40 years of experience designing all sorts of projects. You’ll find details about Sanford’s information on the Chamber website visitborrego.com.

On to the spotlight! Within the last 30 days, Borrego Springs has welcomed videographers from National Geographic, the Amazon Instagram VanGo project – you might have noticed the van driving around town – filming different locations for social media, a writer from Ranch and Coast luxury lifestyle magazine out of San Diego and a writer from Palm Springs also doing a feature for Palm Springs Life.

Then we had NBC News Channel 10 out for a piece about the Sky Art Metal Sculptures and a social media influencer with Today’s California, Today’s Canada and The Coachella Valley doing the first of a five month series highlighting different Chamber member businesses in feature segments. The feedback from all of them was “I love the area and the people are so friendly” so kudos to the community.

Finally, watch for information coming soon about the Chamber’s upcoming St. Patrick’s Day Sundowner on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17) at the Borrego Springs Resort. Details to come and all guests must RSVP.
