Agents Seize Drugs

El Centro Border Patrol agents assigned to the Highway 86 checkpoint seized more than 50-pounds of illegal drugs.
At around 8 p.m. Friday Nov. 29 at the Highway 86 immigration checkpoint, a canine alerted agents to a black Infinity.
During secondary inspection, they discovered 23 packages hidden inside the vehicle’s cargo area.
Agents say the packages contained 29-pounds of methamphetamine, two-pounds of heroin, and 23-pounds of cocaine.
The drugs have an estimated street value of nearly $400,000.
The suspect, identified as a United States Citizen, the car, and the drugs were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
