Salton Sea Fire

Two homes were destroyed by a fire, leaving the people homeless.
Fire crews responded to a blaze around 7:00 a.m. at Salton Sea Beach, Imperial County Jan. 4.
Power in the area was cut off, as crews battled the fire.
One home was currently occupied at the time, and the family is being assisted by the Red Cross.
Fire crews from Calipatria, Westmorland, and Brawley also assisted in battling the fire.
A fire last November destroyed three mobile homes in the same community with the cause of the fire under investigation.
