The Methodist Church will have a Christmas Eve choir service at 7:00 p.m. St. Barnabas Episcopal will have Lessons & Carols at 5:30 p.m. on the 24th and they will have a Holy Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. on Christmas Day. There will be a meditation on the 23rd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

We have been lucky enough to have two concerts in town this season. The first, at St. Barnabas was “Celebrating Christ in Christmas” directed by Jinny Perrin, Dick Helvig, and Sherry Harapat. There was a choir of 35 from our various churches. Also a woodwind trio and a chime choir. Three performances.

SRO! Fabulous. Next came “Here We Come A-Caroling Borrego Style” at the Performing Arts Center. Just amazing.

How did we get so much talent in our little town?

Coyote Steakhouse will serve Christmas Eve dinner from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A special Christmas Day holiday menu will be served from noon to 7:00 p.m. La Casa del Zorro will serve Christmas Eve dinner in the Butterfield Room and then it will close until the 27th. The Cantina will remain open with holiday dishes. The Arches at Borrego Springs Resort will serve brunch on the 25th from 10:30 a.m. and dinner from 5 p.m.

Red Ocotillo will be open on Christmas Day from 7:00 a.m until 2:00 p.m. Carlee’s Place will close at 5:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve and be closed on Christmas day. Kendall’s Cafe and Kesling’s Kitchen will both be closed on Christmas Day. Employees can spend time with their families while residents and visitors can dine out if they wish. A good plan for all.

Most important! We thank our publisher Patrick Meehan for donating a large lit and decorated tree to our Christmas Circle.

Wonderful! Happy Holidays.
