Border Patrol – 17-Year-Old Busted For Meth

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Highway 86 checkpoint arrested a 17-year-old girl Wednesday Nov. 15, after discovering she had methamphetamine taped to her body.
At around 1:15 p.m., a Ford Focus approached the checkpoint. A Border Patrol canine alerted agents to the vehicle, which had four people in it.
At secondary inspection, agents found 10 small packages taped to the teen girl's leg.
Agents examined the contents of the packages, which tested positive for methamphetamine.
The total weight of the methamphetamine combined for 4.21 pounds with an estimated street value of $14,735.
Border Patrol agents identified the the teen as a United States Citizen. Agents turned the her over to the Drug Enforcement Administration, along with the narcotics for further investigation.
Officials did not say if the other occupants were taken into custody.
