Roadwork Around Borrego, Expect Delays

The San Diego County Department of Public Works continued to skin patch different roads around Borrego Springs Thursday Oct. 12.
The crew began at approximately 8:30 a.m. at Yaqui Pass Road, sealing and overlaying parts of the roads that were a bit corroded.
Two parts of Borrego Springs Road was patched until 3:00 p.m., closing off one lane.
There is no estimated time on how long the road paving will take, according to equipment operator Ruben Daniels.
Road closures will not be in place, however, traffic control may delay commutes by at least five minutes.
For the next few weeks, crews will be all over the Borrego Springs area working on different roads at a time from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
