Borrego Sun - Since 1949

There are now four new county road entrance signs into Borrego Springs, in celebration of Borrego Springs becoming an International Dark Sky Community, the first in California and second in the world.

Borrego Springs is the only community in the state to be certified by the International Dark-Sky Association. The Borrego Springs Dark Sky Coalition, a small group of local residents, requested the signs, and were able to get approved by a community sponsor group. The County of San Diego purchased and installed the signs last week.
