Sunday Oct. 1 at around 3:37 p.m., a crash involving two motorcycles were reported near the intersection of state Route 78 and Borrego Springs Road.

At least one person had to be airlifted to a hospital, according to California Highway Patrol officers.

There were injuries, but there was no information on their extent, officers said. It is also still unknown how many victims were involved and if any other vehicles were involved.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
