Highway 78 West Closed

At around 3:25 p.m., Oct. 4, Highway 78 West to Santa Ysabel is closed, according to California Highway Patrol Officers.
A truck and trailer broke down at the mile marker 50, blocking the road just west of the 79. Currently no details regarding the reason of the break down. Driver is said to be OK.

4:00 p.m., going toward Julian, at least one mile from Santa Ysabel has come to a complete stop.
There is no estimate on when the road will reopen.

4:40 p.m., cars are now slowly moving through, and truck and trailer have been cleared.
