The Borrego Water District and J.G. Tate tested the water flow and pressure of a new hydrant Thursday Sept. 28, along Sunset Blvd., behind the Borrego Springs Post Office.

The test helps determine if there is an adequate pressure to supply water services within the area for the future facilities being built along the property. Along Sunset Blvd., that property will hold the new Borrego Springs Library and sheriff's office.

According to Alan Asche, service crew superviser, results from the testing of the flow of water, came out great with over 1,300 gallons of water coming out per minute and 80 psi.
