Road Closure I - 8 La Mesa

Drivers are being warned to avoid the State Route 125 northbound ramp to I-8 in La Mesa, due to road closure following severe crash.
An out-of-control big rig truck struck multiple vehicles, killing two people and injuring a child. According to the CHP, the big rig overturned on southbound 125, striking a center divider before careening into northbound lanes, striking multiple vehicles.
The injured child was taken to Rady Children's Hospital. CHP is investigating the crash, which occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m.
