Borrego Springs Senior Center Air Conditioner Project

The Borrego Springs Senior Center needs the community's help to raise $25,000 to replace all three air conditioner units.

Forty years ago, the building was assembled in three complete parts, each with a built in air conditioning unit.

One of the three units has given up, and is not able to be repaired, and it wont be long before the other two go as well. So with the help and love of the community, by donating something small could make a huge difference.

The Borrego Valley Endowment Fund has agreed to donate another $7 for every dollar donated.

Patrick Sampson of The La Casa Del Zorro "Fluffy Fox Charity Fund" has already donated $500 to help the senior center air conditioner replacement project. Their charity fund is supported 100 percent through the sales of their toy Kit Foxes to guests and visitors to La Casa del Zorro.

The senior center is the only 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Borrego Springs that offers nutritional, social and fitness programs for its senior citizens. The center offers high-quality meals at the center, and five days a week, volunteers deliver meals to homes in the community. They provide outstanding service and love for our senior citizens, so it's time to do our part and lend a helping hand.
