Heaven's Pennies

The fundraiser, Pennies From Heaven, has come to an end. This fundraiser, run by the Interact club at the Borrego Springs High School raised $856.68 for the orphans in Liberia. This money will be used to buy school supplies, and other essentials for these children. The Interact club was able to raise this much money because of all the student participants and the Borrego Rotary club. The Rotary club matched what the fundraiser initially made which was $428.34. The Interact club raised $229.72 at the Taste of Borrego. There was also a donation from the BSPA with $50.
Pennies from Heaven was in the form of a competition between all of the middle and high school grade levels. The freshman class won with a total of $45.97. Their prize was a pizza party for the entire class. All of the students combined collected 148.62 dollars.
The Interact club is still accept- ing donations for future projects. If you are interested in helping you can go to the front office at Borrego Springs High School and give them your donation for the club!
