Frankie Mallard wishes everyone a Happy Easter and good times ahead. He's finding it hard to type but no more so than the rest of the Borrego Sun staff.

According to the newest member of the Borrego Sun, Easter is happening and something to look forward to. New beginnings and a time to reflect and move forward. Frankie Mallard has nothing but excitement for the days ahead and with Nancy Bye's help, so can you.

Elegant Easter

We are so fortunate to have a variety of ways to celebrate Easter Sunday. A hillside sunrise service (around 6:00 a.m.) up by the cross behind the Methodist church is a breath-taking annual event with all the churches participating. Many of our churches follow that with a Holy Communion service. St. Barnabas Episcopal also has a Choral Eucharist at 9:30 a.m. The Community United Methodists celebrate at 10:00 a.m. and the Lutheran Service starts at 10:10 a.m. Call St. Richard's Catholic Church for information about their various services in English and Spanish.

La Casa del Zorro and The Arches at Borrego Springs Resort will both have spectacular buffet brunches. Rams Hill will hold a gourmet small plate brunch will be served indoors or out, with the best scenery in town! The Palms at Indian Head will serve a lovely patio lunch and dinner. Carlee's and Kesling's Kitchen and Red Ocotillo (all near Christmas Circle) will offer their regular menus – everybody's favorites. Enjoy.
