ABF Caterpillar Lecture this Friday at 7:30 pm
If you’re tired of thinking about WILDFLOWERS, come hear about the little heroes who make them disappear…CATERPILLARS!
Join us on Friday, March 17 at 7:30 pm at the Steele Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center for a lecture by visiting researcher Dr. David Wagner. He will discuss why caterpillars are important and cover the interactions between plants, caterpillars, and birds—and the role of caterpillars in this tri-trophic sandwich. We’ll get to hear interesting discoveries from Dr. Wagner’s previous week doing research in the Park for an upcoming book and identify some near-term targets for which the citizen scientists among us could contribute!
