USA Non-Communications

Yesterday saw the majority of Borrego Springs without internet, including the Borrego Sun.
Today is not much better as people form a line outside the internet providers offices, with people swapping out modems that have failed to function since yesterdays down time.
If you are told by tech support to take your modem to Borrego Outfitters to be swapped out - ignore the advice. They don't provide that service and apparently the tech is having a bad day.
The good news is that we are (for the moment) able to get most of the computers up and running which means USA Communications day is going to go rapidly down hill. Through out all the issues the town has had, the Sun has tried time and time again to get a response from the companies head office. Not one representative has deemed the request to inform the town a necessity or a courtesy. So we are on it and we will be looking in to the issue of the internet.
As long as we can maintain a connection.
