Rain and Blooms

Perfect conditions are continuing to be seen around Borrego for a bumper crop of flowers. Yesterday, (Mon, Feb. 27) saw 0.97 inches of rain fall in a twenty-four hour period according to the Anza-Borrego Visitors Centre.

The main concern, according to park staff, was heavy rain flooding the seedlings away, however the downpour proved steady enough to provide a good drenching rather than a flash flood.

With temperatures set to raise into the 80's by the end of the week, the forecast should help extend the bloom.
