Dr. Elizabeth Stephens has been a valued member of staff at the high school for a long time. A lot of children rely on her to listen and encourage them. Parents were out in force March. 8 to stand up at the school board meeting in support of her role within the school.
Rumors are abounding as to whether or not she has been fired, dropped from her contract or just had her hours reduced. Either way the children are the ones feeling the most let down at the current situation.
We're hoping to gain a response from Dr. Stephens and the school board as to what the real story is. Updates shortly.
