Palm Canyon Trail is closed until further notice.

Anza-Borrego State Park Rangers have been working with the San Diego County Sheriffs office on a search and rescue mission. A helicopter was reported circling the area.

The authorities will be working with the medical examiners office to extricate the body due to its difficult location.

An official statement is to be released late Tuesday Feb. 28.
