Mountain High, Southern California’s closest winter resort, is open for the 2016-2017 season.

Chair lifts will spin from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until Mountain High begins its daily night operations. Up to four lifts will be in operation accessing three trails, or one top-to-bottom run. Freestyle skiers and snowboarders can also enjoy eight to 10 features including jumps, rails and funboxes. The Big Pines base lodge opens at 8:00 a.m. along with the ticketing office, rentals, guest services and the season pass office.

Night skiing is set to begin on Friday, December 2 and be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings until further notice. Mountain High’s famed North Pole Tubing Park is set to open on Saturday, December 3 and operate its traditional weekend schedule of 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

“We are stoked about the new season and expect it to be a very good one,” said John McColly, Mountain High chief marketing officer. “Our resort is perfect for skiers and snowboarders of any skill level, and we’re excited about getting back out on the mountain.”

Lessons will begin when the necessary teaching terrain becomes available. When winter happens, it happens fast at Mountain High so look for new lifts and trails to open every week.
