Borrego Spring Sports Banquet

The Borrego Springs Unified School district held their annual Spring Sports Banquet on Nov. 21. with a pot-luck provided by parents and faculty. Students were recognized for their outstanding achievement in football and volleyball.
Among those honored was Miss Borrego, Michelle Delgadillo, for being the Most Valuable Player (MVP) on her varsity volleyball team. Coach Tim White expressed that they had a “Tremendous season ... we were the pre-season pick to finish last in league, and to win only one game overall. We ended up finishing 7 – 3 overall (5-0) at home with a 4 – 1 league record.
Having beaten all of their rival schools including Warner Springs (for the Battle of the Springs Trophy), Julian and West Shores! They also won their homecoming game versus San Pasqual Academy. The team also played in the semifinals of the CIFSDS DVI Football Playoffs. It was an awesome season for Borrego Springs, with the holidays being a great opportunity for the kids to relax before continuing their wining streak next year ... GO RAMS!”
