High Wind Warning

The National Weather Service has issued an urgent weather message warning of strong gusty winds through this evening, with gusts over 65 miles per hour forecast along mountain ridges and desert slopes. Winds up to 40 mph could occur on the coast and in valleys.
At least an inch of snow has fallen on Mount Laguna with an inch or more of rain in numerous mountain areas. Avoid driving but if you must travel in these area today, watch for downed trees or power lines, blowing sands in the desert, rain-slicked roads and icy conditions in higher mountain areas.
