Changes to I-8 Dogwood Road
Motorists Advised to Use I-8 Dogwood Road New Loop Ramp to Westbound I-8

Caltrans is reminding motorists that the new Interstate 8 (I-8) Dogwood Road interchange includes a reconfigured intersection that requires drivers on northbound Dogwood Road to use the right lane to access westbound Interstate 8.
Northbound motorists are not permitted to make a left turn to access the southbound Dogwood Road onramp to westbound I-8. Drivers in violation will be ticketed by the California Highway Patrol. Signs have been posted to alert motorists to the change.
Construction on the $28.1 million I-8 Dogwood Road Interchange Project began in October 2014. The bridge was widened from two to six lanes including two turning lanes. Widened ramps and new signals will help reduce congestion to and from the nearby commercial hub.
Crews will finish lighting and installation of decorative fencing in the coming weeks.
