Caltrans To Close Interstate 8/Orchard Road 12/6

Caltrans will close Orchard Road/State Route 7 at Interstate 8 (I-8), near Holtville, beginning Tuesday 12/6, due to ongoing construction.
Signs will be placed on Orchard Road north and south of the intersection with I-8 to alert motorists to the ramp closures and alternate routes. The closures will be in place through May.
Detour Westbound I-8 to Orchard Road: Motorists will continue west on I-8, exit on Bowker Road and turn left on Bowker Road; turn left onto the eastbound I-8 on-ramp and then exit onto Orchard Road.
Detour Southbound Orchard Road to Westbound I-8: Motorists will proceed to the eastbound I-8 on-ramp, drive on eastbound I-8, exit at Bonds Corner Road, turn left onto Bonds Corner Road, then left onto westbound I-8.
Detour Northbound Orchard Road to Westbound I-8: Motorists will proceed to the eastbound I-8 on-ramp, drive on eastbound I-8, exit at Bonds Corner Road; turn left onto Bonds Corner Road and then left onto westbound I-8.
Motorists are reminded to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment in the project area.
