The heat has been a hurdle for some racers as the temperature at Christmas Circle sits at 86f 18 hours in to the 24 hour race.

12 hour racers joined the 24 hour teams on the course last night and now the speed cyclists have begun their 6 hour assault on the course.

Some bikes are suffering from wear and tear and needing intervention in the pit stop, luckily there is a mechanic on hand should the riders not be able to fix any issues themselves.

El Borrego are on site providing catering for the racers.
