Handcycle Competitors RAAM Challenge

American rider André Kajlich is this years only handcycle competitor competing in the Time Trials this year. His aim was to qualify for the Race Across America next year. Despite a strong start, coming in to the final laps, Kajlich is desperately short of his 400 miles needed to qualify.
At this time he has managed an outstanding 306 miles and sitting at 46th position out of the seventy 24 hour competitors.
After catching u with Andre after the race, he explained that his primary bike hit a problem and the front arm snapped. His secondary bike is far less advanced and slowed down his progress. We will be catching up with Andre on Monday to get a full interview and catch up.
