The Grand Opening of de Anza Golf Club started today Sat, Nov 5. at 9:00 a.m. this morning. PGA, Executive Chef and Clubhouse Manager Jason Hildebrant, Director of Golf Lyle Archer and PGA and Head Golf Professional Chris Jones greeted club members and handed out starting hole assignments.

Judy Smith, a member of de Anza and golf team member, stated that today was "A beautiful opening day. We could not ask for better weather and more lovely golf partners." Smith, as well as her three other partners – Nick Hope, Sarah Elliot and Sandy Redding – walked the course. When asked why they did not take the golf cart that had their names posted on them, she replied, "Exercise! We are stating the day, as well as the opening, off with some good exercise!"

Tonight there will be a members only reception starting at 5:30 p.m. Welcome back de Anza Members!
