Election Update: 5:00 - 5:20 p.m. -- The polls are now closed on the East Coast.

Kentucky, Indiana,West Virginia, South Carolina were called earlier for Donald Trump, with Vermont for Hillary Clinton. At the 5:00 p.m. hour, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Delaware, the District of Columbia, and New Jersey were called for Hillary Clinton, with Donald Trump taking Tennessee, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Alabama. These results show a 75-66 Clinton advantage in electoral votes. Eastern Florida, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, and Virginia are either too close or too early to call at this time.

As predicted weeks, even months ago, if actual voting follows the latest Dynamic Bayesian Forecasting model, a Florida win with record turnout for Clinton (compared to Election 2012) implies record turnout across the country for her candidacy and the presidency. Such strong numbers for Hillary Clinton in Florida also portend 300+ Electoral College votes. The higher the number after that, especially near and beyond 325 electoral votes, will be indicative of control of the U.S. Senate, and then possibly even the House of Representatives, reverting to Democrats. These projections are based upon pre-election polling, latest turnouts in observed polling places, and current reports of total early ballots by VoteCastr.

Hillary Clinton currently leads VoteCastr voter results in every key battleground state -- Florida, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Based on both current statistical analysis and reliable historical models, Hillary Clinton is assured the presidency by winning Florida, unless Donald Trump wins Pennsylvania to make up for battleground states, to put her over the 270 electoral vote threshold.

Also, according to CNN, the number of early voters in the U.S. exceeded 46 million, with an expected total of 135 million votes to be cast. Voters deciding before last week on their preferred candidate stood at 87 percent.
