Benoit Begins Chemo

Riverside County Supervisor John J. Benoit will likely begin aggressive chemotherapy after blood clots in his lungs, a growth on his pancreas and spots on his liver and lungs were discovered, he announced Friday, Nov. 18.
Benoit, in a news release, said he had been enduring weeks of discomfort, dry coughing and extreme fatigue. He had a CT scan Wednesday and is undergoing further testing and treatment at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage. Benoit expects a more specific diagnosis next week.
