As usual the sun shone over Borrego Springs as representatives of the travel industry from the UK, Scotland and Ireland turned up at Christmas Circle.

Live with Francoise

The welcoming party was sponsored by the Borrego Sun but couldn't have been anywhere near as successful as it was, without the help from members of the community. Residents brought out their classic cars, representatives of the community came out to chat with the visitors and a couple of the local teenagers helped us set up and tidy away.

Well done to Jim Wilson and his team, the grass looked amazing and everyone commented on how wonderful the circle is for the town.

Once we had fed and watered everyone, they were taken off on a whirlwind tour in safari trucks before ending the night at La Casa del Zorro.

Full coverage will be in the next issue of the Borrego Sun, but I hope you enjoy some of the highlights of the day.

(The bit I enjoyed most was pouring iced water over Sun Publisher Patrick Meehan, at the end. It had to be done.)
