The Borrego Springs Chamber held their monthly meeting on Oct. 18 at the Chamber of Commerce building on Palm Canyon Drive.
Debbie Woollet, Event Planner at Rams Hill Golf Club, was recruited by Bunnie Hamilton to fill the vacant seat on the board. This seat is to replace Damion Gallardo from de Anza Country Club who moved out if town. The board unanimously voted for Mrs. Woollet to take the last seat on the board.
Linda Haddock, Executive Director, informed the board that the airport restaurant has a new operator. The new operator had signed the lease and more information will be released in the next few months. Mrs. Haddock's reports that the Borrego Springs Motel and Desert Auto are up for sale. If you have any questions, you can contact the chamber for more information since the properties are not listed yet.

Borrego Days Desert Festival is this weekend, Oct. 21 – 23. Please come purchase a t-shirt for $20 at the Chamber of Commerce. Different colors and sizes are available.
2016 – 2017 Seasons Farmers Marker – Opens every Friday, starting Nov. 4 from 8:00 a.m. to Noon around Christmas Circle.
The November Sundowner will be held on Nov. 18. Location is still to be determined.
Starting in late November/early December, Bike Borrego will be offering a 2-hour bike ride tour of the desert. The ride will include stopping at various statues and a brief history lesson of Borrego Springs.
Hot Shopping Chili Nights will be held on Dec. 2 from 5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at The Mall. This will kick off holiday shopping in Borrego.
The Boys and Girls Club Borrego Golf Classic will be on Feb. 24. 2017. Please mark your calendar.
4th Annual Springs Shred and Recycle will be on March 25, 2017.
The next scheduled Chamber Board Meeting will be on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 8:00 a.m.
