Marijuana Cultivation Facility to Open in Coachella Valley
New 9,600-square-foot cultivation facility is more secure than many banks

From Santa Ysabel's Cahuilla Indians to Coachella's Canndescent, it seems the valley is providing the opportunity to grow more than dates and citrus these days.
Adrian Sedlin, the CEO behind Southern California's first major marijuana cultivation facility has stated that he is excited "to make history" with the facility's official opening Thursday in Desert Hot Springs.
The Santa Barbara-based Canndescent's 9,600-square-foot cultivation facility will be the first of many centers expected to open in Desert Hot Springs and the Coachella Valley at-large.
"Going from a position of condemning cannabis to a position of embracing its medicinal benefits," is a major societal transition for California, says Sedlin, who began moving plants in to the facility over the weekend. Sedlin described how the property has stricter security than many banks with more than 60 cameras providing a direct feed to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
