What's hot in Borrego? Apart from the towns people, who have seen summer refusing to loosen it's grip, are the preparations for Borrego Days. Updates will be announced at today's meeting, 4p.m. So far there are many favourites from last year returning and the pilots have a special flyby planned. Cars, cars and more cars including low riders and off road vehicles have signed up and ready to roll.

Temperatures over the last couple of days reached highs of 111f in some places, warm winds have been blowing across the valley in the evenings and still no sign of rain. The next few days will see temperatures dip to below 100f before rising again Sunday and through to the early part of next week.

Carmelita's are waiting for final approval to open up their outdoor seating area. Permits willing, they should be welcoming diners within the month.
