State Route 86 Pavement Project Continues through October

Caltrans continues paving improvements on State Route 86 (SR-86) in the city of Imperial. Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time during weekdays on SR-86 between 15th Street to Treshill Road through October.
Crews will work weekdays from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. One lane will remain open at all times on SR-86.
Tuesday and Wednesday work will take place on SR-86 from just south of 15th Street to just south of Barioni Boulevard. Local streets will not have access to SR-86 except as follows:
· Aten Road and 15th Street will remain open at all times.
· Barioni Boulevard will remain open from 7–8:15 a.m. Thereafter, intermittent closures will take place as paving progresses through the intersection.
Thursday and Friday work will take place at the Aten Road intersection with SR-86.
· Aten Road will remain open from 7–8:15 a.m. with intermittent closures after that time as paving activities move to the intersection.
· Barioni Boulevard and 15th Street will remain open at all times.
Signs will be placed to alert the public about construction activities. Motorists are reminded to Be Work Zone Alert and advised to drive with extra caution in the construction area.
