Shelter to Soldier - "Live at the Lake"

Shelter to Soldier will be benefiting from a fundraising event co-hosted by Ramona Ranch Winery and Round Up Grill/John Little Catering.
The "Live at the Lake" outdoor music, food and wine event is set for Aug. 28 at Lake Henshaw. The San Diego-based nonprofit, adopts and trains shelter dogs to be psychiatric service dogs for post-9/11 combat veterans.
The event will have live music performed by Steelehorse Country, barbecue and beer from Round Up Grille, craft wines from Ramona Ranch Winery, and includes a tribute to military veterans.
CD release sales benefit a scholarship fund at Warner Springs School in memory of former Warner Springs residents Sadie Stockalper and Felice Howard-Vinnard.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Lake Henshaw parking lot, 26439 Highway 76 in Santa Ysabel.
Admission is $30 in advance; $40 at the door; and $15 for those younger than 21. Veterans are admitted free. Beer and wine start at $5. Among the food options is a barbecue dish for $10. Free parking.
