New Olla for Anza

A new olla has arrived at the Imperial Valley Desert Museum today. Having come to the attention of Betsy Knaak, Executive Director of Anza-Borrego Desert Natural History Association, the large ceramic vessel arrived intact to take it's place among the existing treasures.
Knaak worked with the donor and the Desert Museum to bring the olla back to the Imperial Valley from Arizona.
The IV Desert Museum has an extensive collection of curated pottery from this desert area on display and beautiful new exhibits about the region's native cultures. The IVDM is located near the town of Ocotillo off Interstate 8 at the southern end of Anza-Borrego.
