Ecomedia Compass have been responsible for a wide range of initiatives in order to get the word out about the plight of the Salton Sea. July 2 saw 'Save Our Sea Sacramento!'. Visitors were encouraged to participate in the event by writing to politicians and celebrities at the various activism stations.

The news also got out at the Democratic National Convention, with Ecomedia compass sharing the news on their Instagram site.

Ecomedia wrote - Yup! That's our Salton Sea making it all the way to the Democratic National Convention. A sea-saver proudly holds up a sign stating "Save the Salton Sea". The public has, is and will always shout Save Our Sea! Isn't it time our leaders started listening!? They have the power to prevent public and environmental health disasters at the Salton Sea by restoring it to its full potential. We are all watching.
