Two separate crashes in Ramona have created Sig Alerts, forcing long-term shutdowns on Southbound 67 and Northbound SR 67 at Poway Road.

A fatality accident has shut down State Route 67 in both directions for 8 to10 hours. is closed at Archie Moore Road. A SIG ALERT has been issued tonight.

According to reports, a head-on crash between a silver pickup and black Nissan occurred on the highway just north of Cloudy Moon Road. The pickup is believed to have veered across the center line, hitting the Nissan and causing it to catch on fire. Fire trucks, ambulances and numerous police vehicles were called to the scene.

In a separate incident, a vehicle has struck a power pole, sheering it off, causing power lines on the road at Dye Road and Ramona Street in Ramona.

Eastbound Dye Rd. Is closed at Southern Oak; also westbound Warnock at San Vicente is closed. SDG&E are on scene but the closures will remain in effect while repairs are carried out.
