Salvation Mountain in the News

KESQ News Channel 3 & CBS Local 2 news channels have been out in the Salton Sea to highlight the struggles being faced by volunteers working to preserve Salvation Mountain.
Since Leonard Knight's passing in 2014, the landmark has been cared for by a board of directors and caretaker Ron Malinowski.
The mountain is disintegrating faster than the 30 years it took to build despite the best efforts of family and friends of the late Knight.
In order to maintain the iconic mountain, certain supplies are needed and financial donations or supplies are gratefully received.
"Latex paint. Any kind any color, as long as it's water based. Blue is our main sought after color, cause everywhere with the water and the seas, everything is blue, blue, blue," Malinowski said.
